Poo Poo Point - Tiger Mountain
Issaquah, Washington

August 21, 2005

_________________________________________

I know... sounds funny... but I was told the name
came from the sound of the loggers' steam shafts (if you're curious)....
"poo poo!"

Shall we begin our hike? :)

Before we begin, a
sign at the bottom says
1780 feet of elevation.

Along the way, someone
tells us it's about 1.8 miles
to the top.

Not bad, we say.

"we" as in Max and me.

Just a reminder from Max
to drink that water!!!

And to confirm that we were there, we saw a sign that said:

Did you see that?... 14K? 24K? and 40K?
I didn't mention this in the beginning, but the first trail
we came across on the other side of the mountain (exit 25 off I-90) said 7.5 miles up....

...we were not going to climb 7.5 miles that day.

Nope.

The side off of exit 17 was quite enough (1.8 miles, remember?).

We'll do exit 25 another day... on a mountain bike.

4:30pm at the base,
paragliders come gliding in.

Check out this lovely landing...
